Turn Your Blog Into A Podcast With Just A Plugin!

by Alaina Frederick on November 30, 2008

Welcome Mom Bloggers! If you're new here, please subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting and please do share our site with others!

I am very excited about this new plugin I read about on Lynn Terry’s blog, ClickNewz. I have always wanted to have a way that my readers could listen to my posts. However the thought of having to sit and record each and every post has stopped me time and time again.

Well now with the free plugin from Odiogo I can turn my posts into a podcast. [click to continue…]

Meet a Mom Blogger - Amy Yowell

by Tishia on November 30, 2008

Amy Yowell started My Mommy Needs a Life (what a cute title!) in December of 2007. Her blog was started as a place to vent her frustrations. She shares her story about the struggles of raising not one but two disabled children on her own and dealing with an abusive ex husband that is very difficult to deal with.

She soon found that her blog wasn’t just a place to vent her frustrations but to build relationships with others that contact her to tell her they are facing similar situations and it’s nice knowing they aren’t alone. Just by sharing her story she’s touched the lives of those around her. [click to continue…]

Profitable Mommy Blogging Episode #6

by Kelly on November 25, 2008

This week’s interview is brought to us by Profitable Mommy Blogging’s April Jones. Her guest this week is Amy Lupold Bair of Resourceful Mommy.

When Amy decided to host a sitewarming party for her blog, she had no idea that it would turn into a source of income. I attended the party and the response was overwhelming. Amy compiled a panel of succesful Moms for guests to chat with and discuss Mommy blogging, social media and other topics. To attend the party, guests simply followed Amy and the panelists and used hashtags and Twitter Search to follow the discussion.

On the night of the Resourceful Mommy Launch Party, #RMLP was among the top-rated topics on Twitter.

In this interview, Amy tells us how she started blogging, where she came up with the idea for a sitewarming, and how she ended up launching a business hosting parties for others. She also explains how it works and how you can attend a party or even have your own. This venture has grown so quickly that she will soon be launching a new website dedicated to sitewarming parties.

Some of the sites that have been warmed are:

  • Tote and Tee
  • Family Eden
  • Classy Mommy

Be sure to listen to the podcast for some big news about upcoming sitewarming parties including some amazing prizes!

Amy also blogs for Type A Mom and Blissfully Domestic.
